Air Atlantique - Connie DC-3 DC-6 Convair (2) DVDs

There are (2) DVDs in this video set - "Air Atlantique" and "Super Connie Rescue". Much time was spent at Coventry, UK in 2000 filming the aircraft of "Air Atlantique" and catching the arrivals and practice display routines for the 50's Airshow that year. The result is this video. Filmed on professional digital video with superb sound throughout, it's been a popular choice with many big prop fans. Some of the contents of "Air Atlantique":

The second video is "Super Connie Rescue" which chronicles the flight of an ex-Aerochago Super Constellation to Avra Valley, Arizona for restoration. But as this dramatic DVD shows, flight emergencies with oil and hydraulic leaks meant a forced landing in Texas and lengthy repairs before eventual arrival in Avra Valley. Sadly, the project was eventually abandoned, but not before this fascinating record was made of the challenges involved in retrieving and renovating this gallant veteran.
